Drugstore Diva: Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Double Face Perfector

  • Buzz it!

It’s hard to find a good concealer that doesn’t cake, doesn’t melt, or doesn’t flake! Concealers tend to emphasize all the dry bits you’re trying to cover up, or settle into all the fine lines you were trying to hide! I’ve hunted high and low for a product that provides good coverage, isn’t cakey, and doesn’t break out my sensitive skin. Low and behold, Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Double Face Perfector!

Inspiration: Steampunk & Neo-Victorian

  • Buzz it!

Now that September has officially arrived, the trends go towards darker and deeper looks. Lately, I’ve been incredibly inspired by Steampunk & Neo-Victorian style. The dark jewel tones coupled with the the metallic and lace textures create both darkness and femininity that, oddly enough, complement each other beautifully. I hope you get inspired to create a steampunk look of your own! (I recommend a sheer plum burgundy lipstick like Laura Mercier Stickgloss in ‘Black Cherry’, and a antiqued smoky metallic gold pigment like Make Up For Ever Diamond Shadow in ‘Smoky 15′.  Enjoy!

Love the mix of stone and metal in this futuristic steampunk ring!

Product Rave: Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion Professional Size

  • Buzz it!

I think I heard angels sing when I saw the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion Professional Size tube! Now we can finally use it to the very last drop, unlike the previous Primer Potion that was in the awkward bottle where you had to hack it open to get the remaining product like so. What’s so great about this eyeshadow primer is that you don’t need much on your eyelids to keep your eyeshadows from staying put and not creasing. It also enhances the true colors of your eye shadows and is sweat-proof. The Eyeshadow Primer Potion Professional Size only comes in Original but the bottle version still has all three colors, Eden (matte tawny), Original (sheer nude), and Sin (shimmering champagne). Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion Professional Size available at Sephora.
